Last month, the well-known watch retailer Bucherer worked with TAG Heuer to publish the latest news in their growing series of "Blue Edition" versions. With a history dating back to 1888, the Lucerne fake watches Tag Heuer watch and jewelery house has also succeeded in promoting lasting relationships with the brands they carry - often releasing exclusive models with "Bucherer Blue" as the central theme of the design. From a 14-day Traditionnelle tourbillon from Vacheron Constantin to their interpretation of the Tudor Black Bay, the Blue Edition range seems to offer a wide range of exclusive versions at different price levels. The TAG Heuer Formula 1 Bucherer Blue Edition, I believe, should be one of the cheapest options and the simple style combined with the blue color scheme will probably be a success for those with a weakness for the collection.
Whether we like to admit it or not, a dive style model by TAG Heuer was probably one of the first watches we observed on the other side of a case. The Formula 1 collection, in particular, is still one of the biggest sellers of the brand - and with at least 20 different variants currently available, it's easy to understand why people find something they like. One of the main negative aspects that I have always seen with the non-chronograph models of Formula 1, is that they are almost suspended in a strange region of the design of the watch with too many obvious "automotive" themes that encapsulate the general appearance. So when I saw the TAG Heuer Formula 1 Bucherer Blue press release, I had to stop and realize that it was the first time a Formula 1 had caught my attention for a long time. I imagine it is true when they say that a blue and masculine-looking steel sports watch will almost always win the crowd.
At 43 mm, the "Blue Edition" watch from TAG Heuer Formula 1 Bucherer is a great reference point for many watch enthusiasts. I would also like to point out that the watch is apparently dedicated to "young style experts who have motorsport flowing in their veins", according to the print materials replica watches provided. Well, I take the bus every day, but I'll keep playing this watch, and I'd just like other brands to let their products talk, rather than relying on an inflated marketing copy to create a kind of connection. It is a blue dive style watch with aluminum bezel, made entirely of stainless steel, 200 meters water resistant, portable readable with applied indexes, a sapphire crystal and an automatic movement.
It is also a Formula 1, the first series released after the acquisition of Heuer by Techniques d'Avant Garde ("TAG") in 1986. So, while some may mock the idea of the TAG Heuer Formula 1 Bucherer Blue, I really find it to be one of the most accessible variants to come to the collection in some time. Evidently, the movement seems to be the same TAG Heuer Caliber 5 with ETA 2824-2 base, 38 hours of power reserve and an operating speed of 28,800 bph. Furthermore, the watch has a very attractive rally style rubber strap for greater versatility.
